Jason Hogan is a British director, writer & actor. His work aims to combine emotional intimacy with cinematic scale, often centring people and communities rarely given screen time.

He is a 2026 graduate of the National Film and Television School with an MFA in Directing Fiction. Prior to joining NFTS, his short film Twenty was nominated for the Sony Future Filmmaker Award, placing him among the final five filmmakers selected from over 8,500 applicants. His films have screened at BAFTA- and Oscar-qualifying festivals internationally, receiving awards and accolades along the way.

Alongside his directing practice, Jason has worked for over a decade as an actor & facilitator, including with the National Youth Theatre and Netflix-supported programmes for underrepresented young people. He trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has performed on the West End as well as on screen.

He is currently developing his debut feature film alongside a slate of new writing projects.
